Tom Hollander, Aja Naomi King & Beau Young Join Prime Video’s ‘Stillwater’ As Series Regulars

EXCLUSIVE: Stillwater, Prime Video‘s new horror thriller series, has filled out three more series regular roles with the addition of Tom Hollander (Monster: The Ed Gein Story), Aja Naomi King (Lessons in Chemistry) and up-and-comer Beau Young.

Hollander plays Judge Jack Taylor, an authoritative man who weighs his words carefully, possessing both the warmth and charm of a country preacher and the cold edge of a cult leader. Taylor is the de facto leader of the show’s central small town, Stillwater — the designer of the strict system used to keep its mysterious nature a secret to the outside world. His connections run both wide and deep, and he’ll use everything in his power to ensure his hold over Stillwater remains unbroken.

King plays Sheriff Tanya Green, Stillwater’s relentless chief enforcer — compact, unpredictable and sharp as a blade. Unlike everyone else in town, Tanya is an outsider; she was only recently invited to join the community and awarded the position of sheriff by Judge Taylor, though their connection remains a mystery.

Young plays Galen Keegan, a character with choir boy looks and a feral energy, who was only 10 years old when E-Day occurred, halting his physical aging process, though his mind continued to develop. The experience changed the kids of Stillwater for the worse: Galen may look innocent but possesses the mind of a dangerous monster.

Ben Hardy leads Stillwater, an adaptation of the Skybound graphic novel by Chip Zdarsky and Ramón K Pérez, revolving around his ex-con, Daniel West. In the series, when Daniel receives a mysterious letter promising answers about his past and a substantial inheritance in the small town of Stillwater, he discovers a community where nothing ever ages, no one ever dies, and nobody ever gets out.

Other previously reported series regulars include Lauren Cohan, Mark O’Brien and Mia Tomlinson. Cohan plays Catherine ‘Cat’ Keegan, a former homecoming queen whose small-town charm has sharpened into something fiercer thanks to decades of old grudges and regrets. O’Brien plays her sheriff’s deputy husband Ted, with Tomlinson as her younger sister, Laura Quinn.

An eight-episode series, Stillwater is being shepherded by executive producers Greg Berlanti and Carly Wray, who co-wrote the pilot episode. Other executive producers include Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and Robbie Rogers via Berlanti Productions and its overall deal with WBTV; Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Rick Jacobs, Glenn Geller and Zdarsky via Skybound Entertainment; and Jonathan Gabay.

An Emmy, Tony and multiple BAFTA Award nominee, Hollander is coming off of turns in Paul Greengrass’ The Uprising, Ryan Murphy’s Monster: The Ed Gein Story and Neil Cross’ The Iris Affair. Next up for him, at HBO, is Dune: Prophecy Season 2. He is repped by WME, United Agents and Anonymous Content.

King earned Emmy, Critics Choice and NAACP Image Award nominations for her turn opposite Brie Larson in Apple TV+’s Lessons in Chemistry. She’s also known for starring in ABC’s How to Get Away with Murder and NBC’s Grosse Point Garden Society. Currently filming a spy comedy film for Netflix opposite Kevin Hart and Henry Cavill, she is repped by Gersh, Door 24 and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern.

Young is an 11-year-old actor coming off his TV acting debut in the Lifetime movie The Babysitter’s Double Life. He is repped by The Osbrink Agency.
