Anneline Kriel on Donovan Marx farm attack: ‘Nothing has changed’

Former Miss South Africa and Miss World Anneline Kriel has reacted to the news of North West farmer Donovan Marx’s attack, labelling it “cruel suffering”
The beauty queen has been vocal in showing support for farm murders and invasions, including the recent White Cross project display in Washington.
ANNELINE KRIEL REACTS TO DONOVAN MARX FARM ATTACK
On her Facebook page, Anneline Kriel reacted to the attack on North West farmer Donovan Marx.
She shared: “My heart breaks for Donovan Marx and his loved ones. No human should ever have to go through such cruel suffering. I pray with all my heart for Donovan and that God will give his family strength during this heartbreaking time.
“How much more suffering must our farming communities endure? Every life is precious, and no family should have to live in fear. May God protect our farmers and their families”.
Anneline – who won Miss South Africa and Miss World in 1973 – added that “nothing has changed” since her public protest to farm attacks in 2017.
The blonde former beauty queen also reposted a screenshot of a tweet by MK Party MP Andile Mngxitama – whom she has previously clashed with over farm attacks – which claimed Donovan Marx’s attack was “symbolic to denote the refusal of land thieves to listen”.
FARM ATTACK VICTIM TO ADVOCATE
In 2017, Anneline Kriel spoke about being a victim of a farm attack. She claimed that a young woman, who had befriended her stepdaughter, had been murdered on a farm in Stellenbosch.
“I will continue to fight this injustice”, Anneline posted on her platform last year.
Last month, Anneline Kriel shared her support for Erns Roets’s White Cross Project, which was erected in front of the Washington Monument.
“The planting of 3,000 crosses at the Washington Monument is a powerful gesture of remembrance, honouring those who have lost their lives and bringing attention to a cause that deserves to be heard.
She continued: “Thank you for standing up, raising awareness and ensuring that these lives are not forgotten. Every life matters. Every victim deserves to be remembered”.
