Sunny Deol praises 'Ramayana: Rise of a Legend' after playing Hanuman in post-credit scene: 'This film is not less than any Hollywood film; but I would say it is better than them'

‘Ramayana: Rise of a Legend’ released in theatres on November 5, and its post-credit scene has become the biggest talking point among viewers. Sunny Deol appears as Lord Hanuman in the closing moments, giving fans a first look at his character and setting up his role in the second part.

Sunny Deol urges every Hindustani to watch the film

On Saturday, Sunny Deol shared his review of the film on Instagram and asked people to support it. “I just watched Ramayana. I really, really liked it. I urge each and every Hindustani to watch it. This film is not less than any Hollywood film. But I would say it is better than them. The special effects truly transport the viewer to that time. It is my request to all of you and tell you to go and watch it,” he said.

How Hanuman makes his entry

The post-credit scene begins with a powerful musical backdrop as Hanuman enters.

His face stays hidden, but a wider shot near the end shows him flying through the sky with his gada while chanting Jai Shri Ram. The ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, sung by Diljit Dosanjh, Sukhwinder Singh, Mohit Chauhan, Kailash Kher and Anirudh Ravichander, plays in the background and adds to the impact. The makers have shown just enough to build curiosity about Sunny’s look without revealing it completely. Before Hanuman appears, the film also gives a glimpse of Raghav Juyal as Meghnada, the eldest son of Ravana and the crown prince of Lanka.

Why Hanuman matters in the sequel

Hanuman’s arrival is an important marker for the next part, which will release in 2028. After Ravana abducts Sita, Hanuman becomes one of the key figures in Rama’s journey. He finds Sita in Lanka and later helps Rama prepare for the war against Ravana.
