Super Eagles Arrive In Moscow Ahead Of Russia Friendly

Translate

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have arrived in Moscow ahead of their international friendly against Russia.

According to the team’s officer , Promise Efoghe, the Nigerian contingent arrived in the Russian capital on Friday afternoon.

Éric Chelle’s side will take on Russia at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium next Tuesday.

The encounter will be only the second meeting between Nigeria and Russia at full international level.

The two teams last faced each other in June 2025, playing out a 1-1 draw at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The Super Eagles will be hoping to return to winning ways after their disappointing defeat to the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau in their previous outing.

Chelle has already made two changes to his squad following the withdrawals of captain Wilfred Ndidi and Akpe Victory. John Otomewo and Vince Osuji have been called up as their replacements.
