Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has expressed readiness to deliver goals as the club prepare for its Premier League return against Arsenal on Friday.

Eager To Score Goals
The Nigerian international vowed to bring his scoring boots as Coventry City prepares for their top-flight return.
“I think for sure — goals. Like I said, goals and hard work as well,” he said.
“When I watch the video clip of the late Rashidi Yekini of Nigeria and Thierry Henry and, of course, Didier Drogba”, Awoniyi added.
Awoniyi To Link Up With Onyeka
Awoniyi will now link up with international teammate Frank Onyeka at Coventry City, with both Nigerians hoping to play key roles in helping the club retain their Premier League status at the end of the season.

Awoniyi had an impactful four-year career with Nottingham Forest, scoring 23 goals in 103 appearances before moving to Coventry City in August 2026.
