Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Niraj Kumar and Rudrannksh Balasaheb Patil combined on Friday to win the team silver medal in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event.
The smallbore trio scored 1762-94x, finishing four points and an inner-10 behind China (Zhang Changhong, Liu Yukun, and Sheng Lihao). Korea’s (Gwon Hyeopjun, Joung Seungwoo, and Park Sung-Hyun) 1751-87x handed it the bronze medal.
Additionally, Aishwary and Niraj also made the eight-man final after finishing third and fourth, respectively. While the former World No. 1 notched 589 points for himself, Niraj gathered 588.
Rudrankksh had to make way for Islam Satpayev despite getting a point more than the Kazakh because a maximum of two marksmen can represent a single NOC in the final.
