KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's challenge in the men's doubles ended after Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Rumsani were dumped out of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Sunday.
The world No. 6 pair lost 21-13, 21-17 to China's world No. 3 Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang at the Ichinomiya City Municipal Gymnasium.
This is the first time Malaysia's men's doubles have left the Asian Games without a medal since the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games.
Malaysia still have women's doubles pair Pearly Tan-M Thinaah who will contest the semi-final against China's Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning on Monday.
