EDMONTON – The Edmonton Elks have signed vice-president of football operations and general manager Ed Hervey to a contract extension.

The team announced Friday that Hervey will remain with the club for the “foreseeable future” but did not disclose terms of the deal.

Hervey, who started his second stint with the Elks in November 2024, has guided the team to a 13-and-5 record and first place in the CFL’s West Division this season.

Hervey previously served as Edmonton’s general manager from 2013 to 2016, helping turn a 4-14 team into Grey Cup champions in 2015. He has an 81-81 career record as a CFL general manager, which also includes stops with the B.C. Lions (2018-19) and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2024).

The announcement comes two days after the Elks extended head coach Mark Kilam’s contract through the 2029 season.
