Ndindi Nyoro begins nationwide political mobilisation ahead of 2027

Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro has said he will take his campaign for national transformation across Kenya as he positions himself for the 2027 presidential race.

Ndindi said he was interested in leadership committed to addressing concerns in education, health, youth and unemployment, among other needs.

Nyoro, who is the People’s Party of Kenya leader, spoke at St Michael Gathuki-ini ACK Church in Kiharu on Sunday, where he called for respect and political maturity.

Addressing residents in Kiria-ini (Mathioya) and Gakira (Kangema), he urged politicians to engage in a responsible manner.

“I trust in God that after next year Kenya will be able to have leadership that will be responsible for improving citizens' standards of living,” he said.

He regretted that hundreds of university graduates in the area were yet to secure employment.

“I plead with Kenyans to support my course that is geared to transform the nation and ensure equality and transparency,” said the PPK leader.

Nyoro said that after engaging Murang'a residents, he will take his transformation campaigns to all parts of the country.

Speaking at Kiria-ini market, he said he would engage the people to seek their blessings.

“All along had been feeling the urge to lead the country, thus the need to come out in the open and fight for position,” he said.

On Monday, the MP announced his exit from the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), declaring that he will join the opposition ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Nyoro, an economist serving his second term as Kiharu MP, said he will work with opposition leaders to push for what he termed real change in Kenya.

The legislator said all opposition presidential aspirants are welcome at rallies organised by the PPK.

His move marks a significant political shift as parties and leaders begin positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 polls.
