TH investment strategy, risk management among issues in Dewan Rakyat today

He will also ask about measures being taken to ensure TH can continue helping Malaysians meet the cost of performing the haj.
The safety of Malaysians abroad will also come under scrutiny, with Datuk Seri Sh Mohmed Puzi Sh Ali (BN-Pekan) scheduled to ask the foreign minister about measures to strengthen the registration system for Malaysians travelling or staying abroad.
He will also ask whether registration should be made compulsory for high-risk destinations to ensure Malaysians can be located and assisted promptly in the event of a tragedy, disaster or emergency.
Food security and dependence on imports will also be raised, with Khoo Poay Tiong (PH-Kota Melaka) scheduled to ask the agriculture and food security minister about efforts to reduce food imports, which exceeded RM90 billion in 2025, as well as action against the dumping of imported products.
Meanwhile, Oscar Ling Chai Yew (PH-Sibu) will ask the higher education minister about the latest status of the Universities and University Colleges Act 1971 (Auku) following its repeal, including the implementation timeline, transition mechanism and status of drafting the new legislation.
The latest developments in negotiations between the federal and Sarawak governments on the implementation of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) relating to regulatory powers over oil and gas, will be raised by Datuk Willie Mongin (GPS-Puncak Borneo).
Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa (PH-Sekijang) is scheduled to ask the economy minister about the timeline for tabling the National Ageing Action Plan in the Dewan Rakyat and the setting of specific indicators to measure the silver economy's contribution to gross domestic product (GDP).
Datuk Dr Ku Abd Rahman Ku Ismail (PN-Kubang Pasu) will also ask the digital minister about the government's position on calls to slow down artificial intelligence (AI) development and the proposed drafting of the Malaysian AI Act.
The sitting will also see the first readings of two Bills — the Sports Development (Amendment) Bill 2026 by the youth and sports minister and the Food (Amendment) Bill 2026 by the health minister.
It will also continue with briefings on three reports by Parliamentary Select Committees and the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), including those on refugee management in Malaysia and the management of court bail payments through the e-Jamin system.
The third meeting of the fifth session of the 15th Parliament will run for 37 days until Dec 8.
