ITV confirms release date for provocative Dominic Cooper drama Adultery

ITV has confirmed when Adultery, their sexy and provocative new drama starring Dominic Cooper, will finally hit our screens.
The new series, written by Danny Brocklehurst (Brassic), follows the complicated lives and romances of a group of parents, as Tom and Beth (Dominic Cooper and Romola Garai) begin to grapple with their feelings for each other.
Now they have confirmed the series will start on Sunday 25 October at 9pm, with all episodes being available as a box set on ITVX and STV Player.

As Tom and Beth start an intense and passionate affair, the impact of their actions threatens to uproot their whole lives, and that of their their families, as they know it.
According to the synopsis, the show is a "love story which raises questions about class, grief and the effects of social media, as it takes the viewer on a rollercoaster story of passion, parenthood and peril".
The cast, led by Cooper, Garai, Shelley Conn and Matthew McNulty, made an appearance at London’s Soho Hotel ahead of the announcement and discussed what lies ahead on the series.
They were joined by Brocklehurst and fellow cast members Leila Khan, Johnny Sanpher, Andrew Knott and Charley Webb.
Cooper praised the series, noting that he found the script "naturalistic", while Garai added: "every page of this script was just character and emotion… as an actor that’s your heaven, but also there’s nowhere to hide."
"I hope it makes people reflect, and I hope it can help make people talk," he added.

On the creation of the series, Brocklehurst noted he knows "everybody will bring their own baggage and morality and prejudices to the show", but aims to keep people on their toes by constantly changing their mind about what’s going on.
In fact, he even created and shot multiple endings for the series, in a bid to play out every potential scenario in order to make sure the right one came to screen.
As for which ending they chose — you'll have to tune in to ITV later this month to find out.
Adultery will air on ITV and STV from Sunday 25 October 2026.
