CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Calapan will operate the first 911 Emergency Hotline in the Mimaropa region, bringing a faster, more coordinated response to all types of emergencies across the city.

The city government said the new emergency number, which will be officially launched on Friday, Sept. 11, shall serve as a unified, rapid-response channel for residents, guided by the principle that every second matters in times of crisis.
