Rains of varying intensity expected in Egypt on Tuesday

Translate

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts rains of varying intensity on Tuesday across different areas of the country, while hot to slightly hot weather conditions will persist.

Satellite imagery indicates the movement of low and medium-level clouds toward parts of the Matrouh Governorate, accompanied by a chance of rain ranging from light to heavy—with possible thunder as the day progresses.

The rain is expected to spread to the rest of the northwestern coast and parts of the northern Lower Egypt governorates (Al-Alamein, Alexandria, Beheira, and Kafr al–Sheikh) as the night advances, continuing into the morning hours; these governorates will experience rapid and severe weather fluctuations.

Weather maps predict continued movement of cloud cover into parts of the Western Desert, northern Upper Egypt, Greater Cairo, the Gulf of Suez, the Canal Cities, the northeastern coast, and Sinai, potentially bringing a chance of light, scattered, and sporadic rainfall.

The weather will be autumnal and slightly hot during the day along the northern coasts; hot in Lower Egypt, Greater Cairo, and northern Upper Egypt; and very hot in southern Upper Egypt.

Conditions in the evening will be moderate initially, turning slightly cool towards the end of the night and in the early morning.

The EMA indicated that winds will be active across most regions—with speeds ranging between 30 and 40 km/h—helping to moderate the temperature at night.

Forecasts show a high of 29C for Greater Cairo, while the northwestern coasts will see 26C and the northeastern coasts 27C.

Temperatures will reach 30C in northern Upper Egypt and 36C in southern Upper Egypt.
