MELAKA, Oct 30 — The 16th Melaka State Election gives voters a chance to assess each party’s track record and offers when choosing the state’s leadership, said Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) deputy communications director Jonathan Vela.

He said voters should consider how parties plan to fulfil their campaign commitments.

“Evaluate what has been achieved, what remains outstanding, and what plans are being put forward for the future of the state,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Jonathan said PKR will continue to champion justice for all, regardless of race, religion or background, through consistent action, inclusive policies and commitment to listening to the people.

“Ahead of the Melaka State Election, Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) theme ‘Melaka Rumah Kita’ reflects the aspiration to build a better future for the state through joint efforts and prioritising the people’s welfare,” he said.

He said for PKR, politics is not only about seeking a mandate but also ensuring policies and decisions bring meaningful changes to people’s lives.

He added that PKR will continue focusing on employment opportunities, income, cost of living, worker protection and family well-being through clear actions and measurable implementation.

Jonathan said PKR has implemented various initiatives through its role in government to strengthen social protection, expand economic opportunities, and enhance public well-being. — Bernama
