Vice Ganda tells public amid severe flooding: ‘Bumoto tayo nang tama’

Vice Ganda again lamented the losses and suffering of Filipinos who had to endure the massive flooding in the country, saying this could have been prevented had the electorate valued good governance by voting wisely.
The comedian-TV host made a timely reminder during an episode of the noontime program “It’s Showtime” on Tuesday, Aug. 18. Vice Ganda and her fellow hosts Vhong Navarro and Jhong Hilario were talking about the continuous rains and the recurring floods, which have been putting lives in danger.
‘Yung mga Pilipino handa na rin. Alam na rin nila. Nasanay na e. Kawawa naman,” Vice Ganda said.

She stressed how many are forced to abandon their valuable belongings to save themselves from the floods. Despite this, she remained hopeful of better days ahead for Filipinos.

“Balang-araw, mararanasan din natin sa bansang ito ‘yung ‘pag uulan, matutulog na lang tayo… Ang dulot sa atin ng ulan ay comfort, hindi na takot,” Vice Ganda said. “Panghawakan natin ang gano’n pangarap. Manampalataya tayo na in Jesus’ name, mangyayari ‘yan. Sana in our lifetime.”

But this may not happen, Vice Ganda, if the public would not elect upright public leaders and sell their votes.
“Alam niyo kung paano mangyayari ‘yan? Unang step, bumoto tayo nang maayos. Bumoto tayo nang tama,” she said. “‘Yung mga binabaha, marami d’yan kaya binaha kasi ‘yung tuyong bahay niyo binenta niyo ng P5,000 nung eleksyon. ‘Di ba? Sa P5,000 pumayag kayong pasukin ‘yung bahay niyo [ng baha].”

“Pero no Filipino deserves that, ‘yung masalanta ng bagyo,” she said.
