5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Eva suspect is accused

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday's episode (28 September), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, suspicion falls on Carl after Eva's fall at the Rovers Return – and even his own mother Debbie doubts him.

Meanwhile, there's another surprising development involving Lucy, while Betsy challenges herself by returning to work at the factory.

1. Eva struggles to remember her attack

Eva's loved ones sit at her hospital bedside, still shocked after the strange incident at the pub.

There's relief all round when doctors confirm that Eva is expected to make a full recovery, but she can't remember anything about what happened.

2. Debbie fears she's solved the attack mystery

Carl's recent movements are under scrutiny, as he was helping Eva to clear up at the Rovers shortly before she fell down the cellar stairs. Debbie decides to buy Eva some flowers, but she's surprised when Carl pulls out his wallet stuffed with cash.

Before long, Ronnie and Kevin develop a theory that Carl stole money from the pub and attacked Eva when the theft went wrong. Even Debbie reckons they're right – but what will she do amid her suspicions? And does this put the real culprit, Sam, in the clear?

3. Lucy causes more concern

Tim decides to tell Lisa the truth about how Richie tried to persuade him to make a false statement in his defence. He flags the possibility that Richie could be putting Lucy under similar pressure.

After overhearing the conversation, Lucy becomes troubled again and she later starts sleepwalking around the Metcalfe house. With her guard down, will Lucy say too much?

4. Jodie is still manipulating everyone

Jodie tries to make herself invaluable to the Platts by carrying out Shona's domestic duties, as Shona is busy at work.

She still has her sights set on replacing Shona within the family, but will anyone realise that?

5. Betsy returns to Underworld

Betsy heads back to work, hoping to regain some professional confidence before her college interview.

But when the teen falls asleep at her machine, will she doubt herself?
