Despite it being 26 years since the launch of Final Fantasy IX, it seems as though the beloved Square Enix entry is still set to receive some stunning releases as part of its ongoing 25th anniversary celebrations.

First released back in 2000 as, you guessed it, the ninth installment in the franchise, Final Fantasy IX saw players take on the role of Zidane Tribal, a thief who is tasked with kidnapping Princess Garnet as part of a coup by a neighboring nation in a land overcome by war. However, when the two, and others, eventually team up, they work together to take down Garnet's own mother, Queen Brahne of Alexandria, who was responsible for the war's origins.

The characters from the Final Fantasy 9 party look at the Iifa Tree from a distance.

Praised for helping revolutionize the RPG genre, as well as introducing mechanics and features that remain in the Final Fantasy franchise to this day, it is no wonder that Final Fantasy IX is still being celebrated, and alongside the upcoming launch of a dedicated animated series adaptation by Cyber Group Studios and even a puzzle collection, fans can also look forward to another stunning piece of merchandise.

Found on the Square Enix Store, Final Fantasy IX: Not Alone is an official music box dedicated to the hit 2000 game, allowing fans to experience the stunning sounds of the game wherever they may see fit.

Coming in at a respectable £24.99, FINAL FANTASY IX Music Box - Not Alone features the song Not Alone, with the box itself featuring silhouettes of Zidane and his companions, Garnet, Vivi, Adelbert, Freya, Eiko, Quina, and Amarant on the front.

As the official item description reads, "Classic songs spanning across the FINAL FANTASY series are now available as music boxes. The designs on the case are pulled right from the scenes where these songs are heard to evoke beloved memories of the series."

As you can tell from this description, FINAL FANTASY IX Music Box - Not Alone is not the only music box available, as fans can also get their hands on ones dedicated to Melodies of Life, Roses of May, A Place to Call Home, and even a digital download of the entire Final Fantasy IX soundtrack.

If this sounds like a piece of official merchandise you cannot miss out on, you will be pleased to hear that FINAL FANTASY IX Music Box - Not Alone, and its other variations, are now available for pre-order ahead of their October 2026 launch.
