Coronation Street confirms huge 2027 storyline for Glenda Shuttleworth
Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks has revealed plans for Glenda Shuttleworth to have a big storyline next year.
The show's team are keen to explore Glenda's character further – which many fans have been crying out for after she joined the cobbles as George's fun-loving sister four years ago.

Brooks shared the news at a Coronation Street press event held to promote next week's special episode focusing on Debbie's Angels.
Speaking about longer-term plans, Brooks promised: "We have got a big storyline coming up for Glenda in the New Year.
"It will really unpack Glenda as a character because obviously she is a fabulous character and very Elsie Tanner! There is a big story coming up, which will hit the screens around March time."
The plot will partly focus on a new partner for Glenda, but that won't be the whole story…
Brooks added: "There will be a love interest. There may be love on the horizon and a happy-ever-after, because I think Glenda is in need of some happiness.

"But it's a big story and it's not just pertaining to a love story, either! So there's fantastic stuff coming up and Jodie [Prenger, who plays Glenda] is amazing."
Monday's episode focuses on Debbie Webster and her closest friends as they gather for an emotional catch-up.
Debbie summons Glenda, Bernie Winter-Alahan, Sally Metcalfe, Christina Boyd and Abi Webster to help put together a photo book for her son Carl's 40th birthday. However, there may be more to the gathering than meets the eye, as Debbie also has other matters to talk about.

A Coronation Street statement recently teased: "Amidst the heated confrontations regarding family history and past trauma, the group struggles to keep the celebration afloat.
"While some find solace in confiding in one another about their own personal burdens, others face difficult decisions about their futures.
"By the end of the evening the air is cleared, and the women unite to move forward, though several of them are left to navigate significant, life-altering choices in private."
