‘Hades’ orchestral concert ‘Ballads Of The Underworld’ is available to stream for free

Hades creators Supergiant Games have shared a professional recording of the ‘Ballads Of The Underworld’ orchestral concert – check it out below:

Earlier this year, the Game Music Festival took over London’s Fairfield Halls and Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall to “celebrate the art of video game music”.

‘The Infernal Symphony’ showcased three decades of Diablo soundtracks, ‘Persona Grooves’ saw the Bartosz Pernal jazz orchestra perform tracks from Persona 3, 4 and 5 while ‘The Colors Of Harmony’ gig celebrated 40 years of Hitoshi Sakimoto soundtracks, with music from Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy 12 performed by London Mozart Players orchestra and a host of soloists. 

The Game Music Festival also put on ‘Ballads Of The Underworld’, a symphonic concert dedicated to the music of Hades and Hades 2.  “A pantheon of original vocalists – Darren Korb, Ashley Barrett, and special guests – will join the stage together with the London Mozart Players orchestra led by Grammy-nominated and BAFTA-winning conductor Austin Wintory, to brew a truly bewitching performance,” read a press release at the time.

Now Supergiant Games have shared the full 100-minute concert for free on their YouTube channel.

“f you’ve enjoyed the music of Hades and Hades 2, you do not want to miss this once-in-a-lifetime performance featuring live orchestral arrangements of all your favourite songs from both games, and more,” wrote Supergiant in the description of the 4K recording.

Released in 2025, Hades 2 went on to become one of the best-reviewed games of the year. However Supergiant have said a sequel isn’t a sure thing.

“When we’re working on our games, we’re not talking about the next game,” studio director Amir Rao said last year. “The culture is really about focusing on what we have and if we have a really good idea or have a really good thought, it should go into the game we’re making. Then there will be a break and we’ll process this and figure out what the future holds for us. But [Hades 3] is not preordained. It’s not something we secretly know right now or anything like that.”
