Toss Sri Lanka chose to bowl vs Pakistan

Sri Lanka put Pakistan into bat at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, as they seek to seal a place in the tri-series final alongside the hosts. England will be watching on nervously as anything other than a Pakistan victory will see Sri Lanka knocked out.

Sri Lanka, however, come into this game in the midst of a five-match losing streak to Pakistan, and a recent record that reads just one victory in 14 ODIs against today's opponents. They do, however, have a winning record overall at the Gaddafi Stadium, with 10 wins in 14 ODIs.

Kusal Mendis said the potential arrival of dew later on in the evening played a major role in their decision to chase, while Shaheen Afridi said he too would have bowled first given the choice.

Sri Lanka have decided to stick with a winning combination, though that does leave open their fifth bowler weakness, one which England brutally exploited in Rawalpindi. Pakistan have made two changes, with Saim Ayub and Razaullah making way for Maaz Sadaqat and the fit-again Naseem Shah, who had missed the last game with a dislocated finger.

The conditions in Lahore look primed for batting, with Afridi expecting a score of around 300 to be par for the course. While the average first innings total at the Gaddafi Stadium is 251, five of the last 10 ODIs at the venue have seen scores of above 300.

Pakistan: 1 Maaz Sadaqat, 2 Fakhar Zaman, 3 Babar Azam, 4 Saad Baig (wk), 5 Hasan Nawaz, 6 Salman Ali Agha, 7 Arafat Minhas, 8 Shadab Khan, 9 Shaheen Shah Afridi (capt), 10 Naseem Shah, 11 Haris Rauf
