EastEnders, Happy Valley and Wicked icons confirmed for SNL UK in coming weeks

Sky has confirmed the next three hosts of Saturday Night Live UK, with Danny Dyer, James Norton and Cynthia Erivo each taking a turn at the front of the live comedy show across October.

BAFTA-winning actor Danny Dyer, recently seen in Rivals and Mr Big Stuff, kicks off proceedings on 10 October and is joined by singer-songwriter Sasha Keable as musical guest.

The following Saturday (17 October), James Norton, best known for Happy Valley and House of the Dragon, takes over hosting duties alongside British artist The Streets.

Closing out the month on 24 October is Cynthia Erivo, the Emmy, Grammy and Tony winner and three-time Oscar nominee behind Wicked and Harriet, with indie rock band Blossoms as musical guests.

Broadcast live from London each week, the series pairs its rotating hosts and musical guests with topical sketches and a British take on the show's Weekend Update segment. That desk is anchored by cast members Ania Magliano and Paddy Young.

Returning cast members include Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.

The line-up also got a fresh face this season, with comedian Freddie Meredith joining the cast. Meredith plays Seb in Such Brave Girls and has appeared in Big Boys, while his Edinburgh Fringe debut Need a Light?, a character-comedy show set in a nightclub smoking area, earned a nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.

The second season began on 12 September 2026 on Sky and NOW, with Jeff Goldblum and musical guest CMAT opening the run. Sky commissioned 12 episodes, with the first six airing this autumn and more planned for early 2027.
