Is Moises Caicedo injured? Chelsea midfielder drops major team news hint after training update

The midfielder, along with Emi Martinez, has emerged as a doubt for the Premier League showdown at the Stadium of Light on Sunday after not being spotted in training during the week.

Upon revealing the latest Chelsea team news in Friday’s pre-match press conference, Xabi Alonso issued an update on Caicedo.

“It’s a discomfort, more than his calf.”

Chelsea have been keeping things under wrap on social media ever since Alonso's update on Friday afternoon, with no footage from the final training session on Saturday before the trip to Sunderland being released.

However, some eagle-eyed supporters have noticed what Caicedo has done on social media ahead of the game.

After posting a matchday graphic to his official Instagram Stories on Saturday, many Chelsea fans believe that Caicedo has strongly hinted that he is fit enough to feature against Sunderland.

The Chelsea team to face Sunderland will be announced at 12.45pm GMT, ahead of kick-off at 2pm.

Victory for the Blues will see them remain fourth in the Premier League table heading into the international break, regardless of Liverpool's result against Crystal Palace in one of three other fixtures taking place at the same time.

Chelsea were beaten on their last visit to the Stadium of Light, going down 2-1 on the final day of last season which ultimately cost them European qualification.
