Revealed: The NHS workers who claimed Zionists 'control the world' and called Hamas terrorists 'the resistance'

Five NHS workers shared inflammatory posts claiming Zionists 'control the world', Hamas terrorists are 'the resistance' and the Israeli prime minister 'needs to be dead', Daily Mail can reveal.
Among them are a GP who posted a grotesque graphic of Benjamin Netanyahu wearing a bloodied apron and holding a knife over a sleeping child, an occupational therapist who reposted videos calling the Bondi Beach mass shooting a 'false flag' event, and a GP who described Israel as a 'terrorist octopus'.
These featured within the dozens of posts and comments uncovered by Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA) during an investigation into alleged incidents of anti-Semitism in the NHS.
A documentary released by the group last month, Malignant: Anti-Semitism in the NHS, featured interviews with British-Jewish patients and workers who recounted the alleged abuse they experienced at UK hospitals.
Now CAA has uncovered further instances of what the advocacy group is calling evidence of 'hate in healthcare'.
Fatimah Mohamied, a midwife registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), was appointed as a 'cultural safety champion' at West Middlesex Hospital in London, a role created 'to tackle systemic inequality and racism'.
But on October 7, 2023, she was accused of supporting the actions of Hamas when she enthusiastically responded, 'Hell yeah!!!' in response to a post claiming 'Palestinians have a right to resist their occupation - we have a right to support them. It's that simple.'
Dr Abdelaal Ragheb Elfarra posted this image of Benjamin Netanyahu wearing a bloodied apron and holding a knife over a sleeping child in a hospital bed

Occupational therapist Zaida Akhtar, who also goes by the name Zee Zidane, shared former Irish MEP Mick Wallace's post showing a graphic image of a US delegate with devil horns and blood around her mouth performing a Nazi salute
Manchester-based registered psychiatrist Dr Ahmed Sewehli replied to a post from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: 'You need to be dead'
In another post written on the same day on a now locked X account, which has been seen by Daily Mail, she asked: 'Would you take abuse lying down, for years and years and years? If you never retaliated, never resisted, would you respect yourself?'
Ms Mohamied faced further claims of anti-Semitism when she accused the Midwifery Forum of 'hosting Zionists'.
She shared in a now-deleted blog in January 2025, which has been seen by this newspaper: 'The problem lies in using Jewish cultural safety as a smokescreen to propagate colonialism, occupation, apartheid, and genocide as somehow acceptable. The problem here are the Zionist speakers you hold no qualm or shame to platform.
'There is no neutrality in degradation, there is no balance in ignoring opposition to Zionists, there is no innocence in hosting Zionists.'
Her line manager asked her to consider deleting the posts or her account, but she refused to do so.
Ms Mohamied resigned from her role in March 2024 and was later referred by her employer, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to the NMC, as well as the Metropolitan Police under Prevent, following accusations of online anti-Semitism and racial hatred.
Both referrals were dismissed. Ms Mohamied continues to deny any wrongdoing and has brought a claim against her former employer, which is ongoing.
Occupational therapist Zaida Akhtar was named as a finalist at the 2024 ViP (Values in Practice) Awards organised by Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Ms Akhtar, who also goes by the name Zee Zidane and is a professional make-up artist, was nominated for the prestigious award for showing 'outstanding commitment to the Trust's values', which according to its website include being caring, open, respectful, responsible and inclusive.
However CAA uncovered several concerning social media posts, including a video appearing to call for violence against Benjamin Netanyahu's 31-year-old son, Avner, who purchased a flat in Oxford while studying there.
Ms Akhtar, who currently works for the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, says in the now-removed video from July 2025: 'If you do see that face [...] Roadman, you know what to do. Sort out this waste'.
The therapist adds to her followers, 'get your jutiya off', a Punjabi word meaning slipper or shoe, in an apparent slang reference calling for a beating.
In further comments, Ms Akhtar referred to Avner as the 'son of the devil'.
Ms Akhtar was also found to have reposted an image by former Irish MEP Mick Wallace who said the US 'votes for the Genocide to continue' and that it supports the 'Genocidal Zionist Settler Colonial Project in Palestine'.
The post, from September 2025, was accompanied by a graphic image of a US delegate with devil horns and blood around her mouth performing a Nazi salute.
In December 2025, she reposted a video from a conspiracy theorist describing the mass shooting on Bondi Beach, in which 15 people were killed and dozens injured after two gunmen opened fire at a Jewish event, as a 'false flag' event.
The video insinuated Israel 'benefited the most from 9/11.'
Dr Nadeem Crowe was suspended mid-shift from the Royal Free Hospital in August 2024 after complaints were received over his social media posts
British-Jordanian A&E medic Dr Nadeem Crowe said there was 'no doubt' Israel is 'a terrorist octopus', in a post from July 2025
Midwife Fatimah Mohamied has brought a claim against her former employer, which is ongoing
Dr Abdelaal Ragheb Elfarra said in one post: 'Zionists are the new Nazis of the last 100 years'
Zaida Akhtarw was found to have shared a video from a conspiracy theorist who described the Bondi Beach shooting in December 2025 as a 'false flag' event
Dr Ahmed Sewehli wrote on his social media that 'Zionism is the ideology of terror'
Three doctors have also been accused of sharing questionable content online or at protest marches.
Dr Abdelaal Ragheb Elfarra, who also goes by the name Dr Abed Alfarra, is a GP in the Accident and Emergency Department at St James's University Hospital in Leeds, which is part of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
Originally from Gaza, Dr Elfarra lived in Spain for many years before coming to work in the UK in 2012.
In a video dated to April 1, 2025, Dr Elfarra can be seen giving a speech at a protest, in which he says: 'Zionists control the media. Zionists control the world.'
He also told the crowd: 'We are the Nakba survivor. Is that similar to the Holocaust survivor? Yes...And what Israel is doing in Gaza is not ethnic cleansing. It's extermination!'
On his social media, Dr Elfarra posted a grotesque graphic showing Benjamin Netanyahu wearing a bloodied apron and holding a knife over a sleeping child in a hospital bed, in October 2023.
CAA says the image echoes the anti-Semitic blood libel that Jews are child-killers who drink the blood of children.
Dr Elfarra was also found to have shared a post stating the Rothschild family was the 'most wealthiest and influential family, believed to control all the world's money', in July 2024, while in another posted in August 2024, 'Elon Musk is controlled by Zionists'.
The medical professional frequently compares Israel to the Nazis, which is considered anti-Semitic under the International Definition of Antisemitism.
He said in one post from April 2024 that 'Zionists are the new Nazis of the last 100 years' and are 'supported by Genocidal army and his servants'.
In another from December 2024 he reposted that 'Israelis are much worse than Nazis', while separately, in October 2023, he wrote to his followers: 'What is the difference between what Israel is doing today to the Palestinians - killing, burning, exterminating, starving, displacing, leaving them to die of thirst - and what the Nazis did to the Jews?'
A spokesperson for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust told Daily Mail: 'We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all colleagues feel safe, respected, and supported.
'The Trust has policies and procedures for appropriate staff conduct and all allegations are investigated.'
Elsewhere, Manchester-based registered psychiatrist Dr Ahmed Sewehli, who is a member of Healthworkers for Palestine, appeared to have called for the death of Netanyahu.
In November 2024, he commented on a post: 'Netanyahu should be dead and then they wouldn't have had to issue an arrest warrant for him either. How's that?'
He repeated the call again in April 2025, when in reply to a post by the Israeli Prime Minister, Dr Sewehli wrote: 'You need to be dead.'
In a separate post from May 2025, the psychiatrist wrote to another social media user: 'Zionism is the ideology of terror, mass murder, displacement and depravity. In fact, ISIS is learning new acts of depravity from the IDF terrorists you support.'
Dr Sewehli also bemoaned what he perceived as the overuse of the term 'anti-Semitism' and wrote in March 2023: 'Have people noticed that because many Zionists have watered down the term antisemite with their misuse of it, they have dropped the term altogether and have decided to use the term 'Jew hatred'. It's very obvious.'
His posts additionally included references to the Labour government as 'agents of Israel' in September 2025, and said former Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer was 'owned' by the Jewish Labour Movement, the Jewish affiliate of the Labour Party in a post from January 2024.
Lastly, British-Jordanian A&E medic Dr Nadeem Crowe said there was 'no doubt' Israel is 'a terrorist octopus with its head in Israel and tentacles far reaching into every continent', in a post from July 2025.
In another from April of that year, he reposted: 'Zionism is the only ideology where stealing land, bombing hospitals, sniping civilians, and burning children alive is called 'self-defense' – but throwing a rock at a tank is 'terrorism.''
He also said in a post from March 2025: 'Zionism is an insidious evil that IS controlling every single one of us, internationally.'
In a post from July 2025, Dr Crowe called on the Met Police to investigate Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, telling his followers that he is 'an absolute risk to Arabs and Muslims'.
Dr Crowe is currently awaiting the outcome of a tribunal after he alleged discrimination and harassment by the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and its responsible officer, Dr Jane Hawdon.
The A&E doctor was suspended mid-shift in August 2024 after a colleague complained about his online activity, claiming they were 'absolutely vile' posts.
His social media posts were described as 'celebrating Hamas and comparing Israel to the Nazis, and are very much antisemitic'.
Dr Crowe has denied that he supports Hamas, but said at his tribunal that it would not be 'entirely unacceptable' to call them 'freedom fighters'.
A Royal Free London spokesperson told Daily Mail: 'We cannot comment on ongoing legal cases. Our focus is always to ensure that our staff, and everybody in our care, feel safe and are treated equally, regardless of background or belief.'
Advocacy group CAA said the findings of its investigation showed extremism was becoming 'rife' in the medical profession and called on authorities to 'address the crisis'.
A recent poll conducted by the group found one third of British Jews who have used the NHS since October 7, 2023 said they felt uncomfortable due to being Jewish, while more than four in ten admitted taking steps to hide their Jewish identity if they were receiving NHS care.
Stephen Silverman, director of investigations and enforcement at CAA said: 'Our documentary on antisemitism in the NHS revealed how extremism is becoming rife in medicine, with employers and regulators failing to rein in radicalised doctors and nurses.
'These are yet more examples of the hate in healthcare that the authorities are doing nothing about. What is happening in British medicine is a national disgrace.
'Jewish people may be feeling the effects most keenly, but nobody wants to be treated by unhinged extremists. It's past time that the authorities address the crisis.'
A Department for Health and Social Care spokesperson said: 'We commissioned Lord Mann's review to root out the cancer of antisemitism and other forms of racism from our health service.
'As well as the NHS implementing all of Lord Mann's recommendations, we expect professional regulators to take the strongest possible action in individual cases wherever necessary.'
An NHS England spokesperson added: 'Any form of antisemitism and racism in the NHS is wholly unacceptable, and all local organisations must take a zero-tolerance approach, including police involvement and criminal prosecution where appropriate.'
A GMC spokesperson said: 'We are very clear that antisemitism is completely unacceptable. Doctors and patients should have confidence that if a concern is raised with the GMC it will be dealt with appropriately.
'We can and will investigate serious concerns that suggest patient safety or the public’s confidence in doctors may be at risk.'
