QTCinderella DMCA Controversy Explained After X User Claims 10 Copyright Takedowns Hit Their Account

QTCinderella, the host of The Streamer Awards, is being accused of sending false copyright takedowns to online accounts that post clips of her content. It started on October 24, 2026, when X user @Awk20000 said they had received 10 takedown notices aimed at clips from 2025. Another user then shared screenshots of an email from X Legal Support, which confirmed that material was removed after a copyright complaint attributed to the streamer. Kick streamer Dan Saltman stepped in with an offer to cover the legal costs of fighting the claims, and Asmongold criticised the alleged actions on his October 25 livestream. QTCinderella hasn't publicly responded so far.

QTCinderella has been sending out mass false DMCA takedowns to channels, including mine. I have received 10 of these takedowns from clips in 2025. Clipping small segments is absolutely fair use @qtcinderella is one of the few creators who will try to continually silence others with lawfare, having done this before. If this was a mistake or misidentification, hopefully she can retract it

The allegations against QTCinderella involve 10 copyright takedowns and a public offer to fund legal action

In the post, @Awk20000 accused QTCinderella of using DMCA notices to silence accounts that post clips of her content. They said the takedowns were going out to channels, their own included. Their point was that “Clipping small segments is absolutely fair use.” They also asked the streamer to retract the notices if they went out by mistake or through misidentification.

@bloomjpg, another X user, posted two screenshots of email from X Legal Support. It stated that content had been removed in response to a copyright complaint attributed to QTCinderella.

Then came Saltman, who describes himself as a politics, news and comedy streamer. “I will cover 100% of your legal costs to fight this,” he wrote, and he also called on QTCinderella to withdraw the strikes.

He's made an offer like this before, too. In 2025, he said he would fund a legal counterclaim after @Awk20000 claimed Twitch streamer ExtraEmily had copyright-claimed a post on X.

Asmongold explains why QTCinderella's fraudulent DMCAs are a terrible look "Now you have the entire community against you..fundamentally people on the internet want to choose what they can and can't see, and they don't want creators trying to take away their ability to do that" "I feel like everybody hates this bc if you applied these rules in their totality, you would have nearly every single YouTube channel be shut down..huge mistake..I think she should completely apologize and remove this..once you weaponize it, it can be weaponized against you" "It's totally embarrassing..I think it's also illegal..you are breaking the law bc you have to legally consider fair use before you file..as to not overwhelm the legal system..they will lie, cheat, steal, and do anything they can, even if it's illegal, to get what they want"

Asmongold says QTCinderella should apologise as earlier DMCA threats return to the spotlight

The allegations also bring up something QTCinderella posted in May. On May 28, 2026, after nearly a month away from social media following the death of her dog, Swift, she said she would start issuing DMCA takedowns against accounts she accused of using clips from her streams to build misleading narratives and encourage harassment.

She called some of those accounts “parasitic” and wrote, “This is not something I have EVER done.” Her target, as she described it, was any use of her content that she considered disingenuous or malicious.

Asmongold brought it up on his October 25 livestream and called the situation “awful.” His warning was that copyright complaints against clip accounts can turn viewers against a creator, and he put it this way: “anybody who tries to file DMCAs will almost always have the reverse happen, where now you turn your entire community against you.”

He also argued that creators shouldn't use copyright complaints to stop people from sharing clips that make them look bad. Asmongold called the alleged takedowns embarrassing, and said QTCinderella should apologise and remove them.
