Criterion announced its November releases last week, including a 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release of KPop Demon Hunters. The preorder first popped up online earlier this year, but now a release date and cover art have been confirmed. The Criterion edition of KPop Demon Hunters will release on Nov. 3 and is officially up for preorder, with a new cover design illustrated by Ami Thompson.

KPop Demon Hunters was Netflix’s most-watched original title of all time, but the Sony-produced film only got a limited theatrical release. It’s a somewhat surprising inclusion by Criterion, which has a small roster of animated films in its catalog and typically prioritizes indie and arthouse fare, rather than the most popular releases of the year.

The Blu-ray, 4K, and DVD editions are also discounted on the Criterion site ahead of the November release.

In addition to KPop Demon Hunters, Criterion’s November slate also includes David Lynch’s trippy Americana send-up, Wild at Heart, Hal Ashby’s classic Harold and Maude, and Sofia Coppola’s subversive Marie Antoinette. Other upcoming titles that were previously announced include Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Kleber Mendonça Filho’s The Secret Agent, and a box set of Stanley Kubrick’s complete filmography.

The film includes a new 4K digital master with a Dolby Atmos soundtrack, and the release comes with plenty of bonus features. There’s a new making-of documentary, video essays, lyric videos, and collectible postcards. The 4K edition includes three discs, while the Blu-ray and DVD versions come with two discs.

Much of what propelled KPop Demon Hunters’ success was the music, particularly “Golden,” which spent eight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and took home the Oscar for Best Original Song. Songwriter Mark Sonnenblick previously told Rolling Stone that the songs were able to stand on their own, outside of the movie, noting, “You go and watch the movie, and ‘Golden’ is this kind of misguided thing that they have in the beginning so that they can break open and find their real voice at the end. But you’d never know that from listening to this on its own.”
