Speaking to IANS, Tina was asked about Govinda’s habit of wearing bright colours in his films and whether she felt his fashion sense had evolved over the years.Tina said, “Personally, it worked for him, and he enjoyed it, so as far as he was enjoying it, I was enjoying looking at him, and people enjoyed looking at him. So that's what matters.”She was also asked whether Govinda should have adopted the more conventionally stylish or masculine looks associated with some of his contemporaries in the 1990s.

Tina disagreed and said she had always admired her father’s approach to fashion.

Tina admitted that her opinion is naturally influenced by her admiration for her father as an actor. She said she grew up enjoying his films, songs and distinctive on-screen style.“No, I didn't feel that at all because I myself am a Govinda fan, so I used to enjoy all his movies and his style, his songs. They were, like, too good, I feel,” she said.

Govinda became one of the defining Hindi film stars of the 1990s, particularly through his collaborations with actors such as Karisma Kapoor and directors known for comedy and entertainers.
