Inside Presley Gerber's Last Outings Months Before His Death

And before the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber died at the age of 27 inside a rehab facility on Sept. 20, his parents and sister Kaia Gerber accompanied him on his final public appearances earlier this year. 

Presley supported Kaia at the May 20 launch of her collection with RE/DONE in Los Angeles, which also included the premiere of her short film Short Cuts. Dressed in jeans and a red plaid button-down over a black tee, he was all smiles as he posed alongside his sister and parents at the event.

The following month, Presley took part in a candid panel discussion about mental health at the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation launch event on June 11 at Aviator Nation Dreamland in Malibu.

Cindy and Rande were on-hand as their son reflected on his mental health journey, noting that he started to overcome the pressure he felt to present himself in a certain way by embracing vulnerability, according to People.

As Presley said during the panel, per the outlet, "The most free I felt was when I was finally honest with myself."

The model also gave advice for how to look after one's mental health on more difficult days.

"Move your body regardless of how you’re feeling," he said. "Get outside. Get some sun. If you don’t feel like moving, lay on the grass."

A rep for the Gerber family confirmed Presley's passing to TMZ Sept. 20, sharing that they are "asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."

Over the years, Presley had been very open about his mental health journey.

“I've had a lot of loss in many different forms recently,” he said in a Dec. 2025 Instagram video. "That is not an excuse, but it's the reason—or part of—why I am where I'm at now."

He also addressed his inner circle, sharing that he only wanted to surround himself with people who can have a positive influence on him.

“I've grown up in Hollywood, and there's a lot of people around that I love to death,” Presley explained, “but right now, I try not to be around them.”

“I'm hoping this reaches people in many ways so you feel like you're not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time,” he added. “I have a feeling if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there's someone else going through it.”
