Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance in Four Regions on September 18
Kenya Power has announced scheduled electricity maintenance that will affect parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, Kisumu, Nyeri and Meru counties on Friday, September 18, 2026.
The planned interruptions will take place at different times depending on the affected areas, with customers advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the scheduled maintenance.
Nairobi Region
In Nairobi, the maintenance will affect Mountain View Estate from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Waiyaki Way, Mountain View Estate, Thiongo Road and Marenga Road, as well as adjacent customers.
Kajiado County
Parts of Kajiado County will experience a power interruption from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Matasia, Oloika and Nkoroi, covering Kamura, Oloika, Nkoroi, Arap Moi, St. Nicholas, parts of Matasia and adjacent customers.
Kisumu County
In Kisumu County, scheduled maintenance will affect Ridge Park Estate.
The interruption is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., affecting Ridge Park Estate and adjacent customers.
Nyeri County
In Nyeri County, maintenance will be carried out in Nyaithee Village from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Affected areas include Nyaithee Village, Nyaithee Primary School, Nyaithee C/Fact and Githiru, alongside adjacent customers.
Meru County
Parts of Meru County will experience an interruption from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The affected areas are Kiguchwa, Githu and Amungaa, covering:
