Teaser of Emraan Hashmi starrer Gunmaaster G9 to release on Tuesday; will also be screened in theatres with Toxic

The promotional campaign for Emraan Hashmi starrer Gunmaaster G9 is set to kick off on August 25, Tuesday with the release of the film’s teaser. The action-romance will unveil its first official glimpse digitally, while audiences will also get an opportunity to watch the teaser on the big screen.

According to sources, the Gunmaaster G9 teaser will be screened in theatres showing Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. However, the teaser will not be attached to the print of Toxic. Instead, it will be screened separately at participating theatres, allowing audiences to catch the upcoming film’s promotional material during their visit to the cinema.

The digital release of the teaser will take place ahead of its theatrical screenings. This will give Emraan Hashmi’s fans an early look at the action-romance before the teaser reaches audiences on the big screen alongside Toxic. With Yash’s film expected to draw audiences to theatres, the theatrical showcase is also expected to give Gunmaaster G9 additional visibility.

The teaser launch comes at a significant point in Emraan Hashmi’s career. Following the release and performance of Awarapan 2, the actor has been witnessing renewed interest in his upcoming projects. Gunmaaster G9 is his next major theatrical release, making the teaser an important first step in introducing the film to audiences.

The film stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Genelia D’Souza and Aparshakti Khurana. Directed by Aditya Datt, Gunmaaster G9 is produced by Deepak Mukut, Hunar Mukut and Sangeeta Ahir, and presented by Soham Rockstar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The project is a SRE Studio LLP production.

The upcoming action-romance is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 27, 2026. With its promotional campaign beginning several months ahead of the theatrical release, the makers are now preparing to introduce the film’s world and characters to audiences through the teaser.

The decision to combine a digital teaser launch with a separate theatrical screening also gives Gunmaaster G9 an opportunity to establish a presence across both online and cinema audiences. The teaser is expected to set the tone for the film’s promotional journey leading up to its November release.
