This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.

Marvel confirms the Hulk will star in a new series next year, starting a new era for Bruce Banner and the Green Goliath. Bruce Banner has come to accept his curse in both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in Marvel Comics' Earth-616. In the MCU, Banner used his scientific brilliance to merge his human intellect with the monster's physical might to create Smart Hulk. In the comics, Banner concluded that the Jade Giant is an indestructible force of nature and distanced himself from society.

However, both Banners' long-awaited equilibrium was disrupted almost at the exact same time. In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Jean Grey broke the psychological walls that kept Banner's monstrous alter ego suppressed, leading to the return of a particularly big Savage Hulk. Simultaneously, the ancient eldritch horror known as Eldest targeted Banner's "Fractured Son" persona, ripped Banner out, and possessed the gamma mutate to transform him into the Infernal Hulk, king of all monsters.

While Marvel Studios has yet to tease what's next for Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner and Hulk following the events of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers Endgame: Encore's post-credits scene, Marvel confirms the next chapter in Hulk's story in the comics.
