Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” takes the top spot on the Top Gabb Music Songs chart for August 2026, leaping eight spots to No. 1 for its first week atop the tally.

Billboard has partnered with Gabb Wireless, a phone company for kids and teens, to present a monthly chart, which launched in October 2024, tracking on-demand streams via its Gabb Music platform. Gabb Music offers a vast catalog of songs, all of which are selected by the Gabb team to include only kid- and teen-appropriate content. Gabb Music streams are not currently factored into any other Billboard charts.

“Earrings,” originally released in 2024, debuted at No. 9 on the July Top Gabb Music Songs chart prior to its August ascension alongside the track’s resurgence in 2026 based on shortform video virality.

In August, the song reached a peak of No. 20 on the weekly Billboard Hot 100; it has since hit a new high of No. 19 on the Sept. 19-dated tally.

Todd reigns after two months of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” at No. 1 on the list following the release of the Michael biopic. Jackson still boasts three songs on the August survey, led by “Billie Jean” at No. 8.

Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” now tied with Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in the tally’s history, reaches a new peak on the August Gabb list at No. 2, while Olivia Rodrigo’s “The Cure” breaks into the top five at No. 4. “The Cure” debuted at No. 5 on the Hot 100 in June and appears at No. 25 on the latest ranking.

Stella Lefty’s “Boston” joins “Choosin’ Texas” as country songs in Top Gabb Music Songs’ top 10, leaping to a new peak of No. 7. “Boston,” which debuted on the chart at No. 21 in July, achieved a new peak of No. 2 on the Hot 100 in August.

A pair of songs debut on Top Gabb Music Songs for August: Josiah Queen’s “Sundays” and Alyssa Grace’s “Bloodstream” at Nos. 19 and 20, respectively. The former bowed at No. 13 on the Hot Christian Songs chart in August, while the latter achieved a new best of No. 45 on the Hot 100 that month.
