Zinkend zeeschip in de Eemshaven dreigt te kapseizen

In de Eemshaven in Groningen is een zeeschip aan het zinken. Hulpdiensten en duikers proberen uit alle macht te voorkomen dat het schip gaat kapseizen en zinken.

Door een gat in de romp in de machinekamer loopt water in het schip. Hoe dat gat in het schip is ontstaan, is nog onbekend. Ook is niet bekend hoe groot het is.

De brandweer pompt het water uit het schip en probeert het stabiel te houden. De bemanning is van boord, laat havenmeester Jan Hein Meissner weten.

Het gaat om de Nautilus, dat onderdelen voor windturbines op zee vervoert. Het schip is 73 bij 16 meter.
