He Does a Body Good Webtoon Gets AnimeFesta Anime in January 2027
Suiseisha announced on Friday that Lee Wonsik and Park Hyeongjun's He Does a Body Good (Karada ni Ii Otoko) webtoon is inspiring an AnimeFesta anime that will premiere next January. The anime's website notes that WWWave Corporation's OceanVeil service will stream the anime in English.
Lee Wonsik and Park Hyeongjun serialized the webtoon in Lezhin Comics from November 2014 to March 2017. The webtoon is available in Korea, English, and Japanese. Both the Japanese print release of the webtoon and the anime's website credit the original work to "WS," and the art to "YUKIO." The Japanese version also changes the characters' names from Korean to Japanese. Frontier Works releases the webtoon in print in Japan. The article will use the Japanese names of the characters provided in the anime's official website.
The anime's cast includes:
Atsushi Hizashi as Hiroki Nagai
Ion Momoyama as Yumi Aihara
Towa Miyako as Risa Ogawa
Milk Amai as Ayano Yamaguchi
Nishiyan is directing the anime at Studio Hōkiboshi. Eeyo Kurosaki is in charge of the series scripts. Reina Nasu is the character designer and chief animation director. Akahori is the color key artist. Chan Do Kim Fan is credited as both art director and for art setting. Shurakura Hōōin is the compositing director of photography. Kanedo is the editor. Yūichi Imaizumi is the sound director. The studio sonilude is handling the sound production.
The anime's website describes the anime:
One touch of this guy and you're sure to reach ecstasy!
A man going about his dismal life —a woman on his commuter train getting repulsed by him, getting suckered by a former classmate in a shady business scheme— transforms into a man with a new physical ability from a certain accident.
That is… when someone touches him, they feel incredibly good?! This is a strange story of a man who makes you feel pleasure every time you touch him!
TOUCH AND ECSTASY… IT'S SHOWTIME!
WWWave Corporation owns the ComicFesta web manga service, as well as the AnimeFesta anime programming block. AnimeFesta (formerly Anime Zone and ComicFesta Anime) has produced short anime adaptations of more than 30 manga from ComicFesta in the past eight years, with many of the manga being adult or risqué in nature. The first AnimeFesta anime was On a Lustful Night Mingling with a Priest (Sōryo to Majiwaru Shikiyoku no Yoru ni...), whose Japanese title has led to AnimeFesta anime sometimes being called "Sōryo-waku" (Sōryo-type) by fans. Most of the anime series have two different versions: a "broadcast" version (the censored version aired on television), and a "premium" uncensored version distributed online. WWWave Corporation releases many of the anime titles in English on its Coolmic website, and recently began releasing anime on OceanVeil.
