Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan set off the fireworks with their rare display of affection as they made a joint public appearance at designer Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party. The couple, who have been hounded by separation rumours, appeared in rather cheery and flirty as they walked the carpet, joint at the hip.Abhishek looked dapper in a black kurta set, while Aishwarya stunned in a red chiffon saree featuring intricate golden detailing. She accessorised the look with statement jewellery. In videos doing the rounds online, the couple was seen sharing tender moments as they posed for the cameras. Abhishek could not seem to hold back his blush as he and Ash locked eyes while posing for photos, while keeping their fingers intertwined.

One particular moment going viral from the appearance was when photographers requested Aishwarya to pose for solo pictures in her red saree, the actress responded with a playful look and politely declined by shaking her head. Abhishek was seen stepping aside to give his wife an opportunity to pose alone, but the beauty appeared to tell him that she did not want to pose alone.

Abhishek was then seen holding Aishwarya’s hand and helping her up the stairs.

Their appearance comes amid years of speculation about their relationship, with their relatively infrequent joint public appearances often fuelling rumours of a possible separation. Abhishek has previously dismissed divorce speculation, describing the reports as “malicious and incorrect”.
