Celebrity Traitors' Joanne McNally and Ed Gamble get major update for "sharp" comedy series

Translate

They may both be currently on The Celebrity Traitors (kind of), but Joanne McNally and Ed Gamble will be collaborating once again, as the latter's panel show Unacceptable! is returning for more episodes next month.

The popular series sees the comedian and Uncloaked host dissect the world's latest debates, with McNally and Richard Ayoade serving as team captains alongside a star-studded bunch of guest stars.

After premiering on TLC earlier this year, it has been confirmed that the panel show will return on Sunday 8 November, with six further episodes set to air as part of the latest renewal order.

Naturally, the upcoming roster is full of big names, with the aforementioned trio set to be joined by the likes of Maisie Adam, Sam Campbell, Ania Magliano, Judi Love, Nish Kumar, Ellie Taylor, Jake Lambert, Seann Walsh, Sara Pascoe, Joel Dommett and Lucy Beaumont.

That isn't all, with Vittorio Angelone, Chloe Petts, Josh Jones, Janine Harouni, Rhys James, Guz Khan, Desiree Burch, Catherine Bohart, Phil Wang, Harriet Kemsley, Dara Ó Briain, David O'Doherty, Fathia El-Ghorri, Aisling Bea and Olga Koch all confirmed to appear.

As per the logline, the series is the panel show where the "comedians say the unsayable", with no opinion being "off limits". In the new episodes, you can expect "sharp wit, passionate defences and plenty of laughs".

"From arguing that all women are creeps to making the case that smart phones for the over 50s should be banned, comedians must go to extraordinary lengths to defend their positions and convince the audience that the outrageous opinions are not unacceptable," continues the synopsis.

The full schedule for the season hasn't been fully disclosed, though it has been confirmed that Wang, Bohart, Ó Briain and Kemsley will appear in the first episode. The follow-up part, meanwhile, will include Beaumont, Angelone, Petts and Jones.

Of course, McNally is currently appearing in the second season of The Celebrity Traitors, and will be hoping that she doesn't have to speak with Gamble on spin-off series Uncloaked given its predominantly used for eliminated contestants.

Ed Gamble's Unacceptable! returns on Sunday 8 November on TLC and Discovery+.
