Raquel Rodriguez says CM Punk wants no part of Big Sexy, and she's got the footage to back it up. The Women's Intercontinental Champion looked back at a funny ringside exchange with Punk on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet. It happened during a six-man tag with Punk, Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio against The Judgment Day. Punk came toward her side of the ring, Rodriguez charged at him, and The Second City Saint quickly moved away while Rhodes stepped in to stop things from getting physical.

Raquel Rodriguez recalls CM Punk moving away during their ringside exchange on WWE RAW

This went down after the March 24, 2025, episode of RAW, when the six wrestlers worked a dark match. During Cody Rhodes' entrance, Punk headed over to Rodriguez at ringside. She wasn't interested in backing off, so she went straight at him. Punk moved to the opposite side of the ring, and Rhodes held him back, which kept it from going any further.

Rodriguez had apparently got the whole thing on her Meta glasses. Watching the footage back with Van Vliet, she sounded pretty confident about why Punk moved away.

"That's right. That's right. He doesn't want any of Big Sexy. I tried to warn him way before that, but I think I caught that on my Metas."

She also said it was a fun mixed tag match, so she wasn't treating the exchange as a serious confrontation. Besides that, she enjoyed being in the ring with established names like Punk and Rhodes. Working next to experienced WWE performers is something she values, and she said "Getting to work with people and be out there, like with CM Punk and Cody Rhodes, that's knowledge that you can't get anywhere else,"she said.

Raquel Rodriguez discusses her Women's Intercontinental Championship run and recent WWE matches

Rodriguez talked about life as a singles champion too. She spent a considerable amount of time in tag teams before, but her current role lets her go into matches without constantly thinking about where a partner is. Teaming with Roxanne Perez recently still felt natural to her, even with the focus on singles competition.

The champion also covered defending her title on WWE's South America tour. The schedule was physically demanding, with the roster travelling through Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina and Chile before reaching Mexico City. Rodriguez described the crowds as having incredible energy, mostly because of how passionate they are about lucha libre.

Her immediate WWE competition includes IYO SKY, who recently pinned Rodriguez in a singles match.

Punk has his own busy schedule ahead. He is scheduled to challenge Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship on Wednesday, then face Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred Match on SmackDown.
