Big Brother housemate quits 2026 season just a day after co-star's exit

There may have been an elimination on Big Brother on Friday (25 September) as Chelsey became the second housemate to be evicted, but there will be another exit after one cast member has decided to quit the ITV reality series.

It has been reported by several outlets that Charlotte, an 18-year-old from Cowley, has elected to leave the house of her own accord, with her on-screen departure set to take place during Sunday's (27 September) episode.

In a statement provided to The Sun, a spokesperson for the series said: "Charlotte has made the decision to leave the Big Brother house and viewers will see her departure in tomorrow night's show. We thank her for being a fantastic housemate."

Charlotte, who lost her limbs as a child after battling meningitis, was popular among viewers of the series. Several fans have taken to social media following the reports, with most wishing her well despite being disappointed by her departure.

"Oh no! I'm so sad to here that Charlotte has left the #BigBrother house. She's been one of my favourite housemates and has been making a great impression during her stint. I've been rooting for her to win this series. Wishing Charlotte all the best," wrote one user on X.

"Charlotte could've won this wth. She was such an icon!! I hope she knows we all loved her!!!" wrote another viewer, while a third noted: "I know Charlotte didn't do very much in the house but for some reason I'm gonna miss her. Also her entrance was kind of epic."

Charlotte was noted for her entrance into the iconic house, where her heel snapped during the live launch show. She subsequently removed her prosthetic legs with the help of co-host Will Best, and later quipped that it was "fate" to arrive in that way.

She was also widely supported in the wake of comments that were made by co-star Rochelle, with the latter saying that she "had a bit of a fear" of people with "no arms". Rochelle, who was condemned for her remarks, said she was "ashamed" of her thoughts.

Charlotte's decision to leave comes after the second eviction of the dramatic season, with 29-year-old Chelsey being eliminated after she racked up more votes than fellow nominee Pauline.
