PCSO generates P32.68B from major lottery games in 1st sem of 2026

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) reported on Monday that it generated around P32.68 billion from its major games in the first semester of this year.

This number, according to PCSO Corporate Planning Department Manager Anna Liza Inciong, is higher compared to the P31.89 billion generated in the first semester last year and the P30.98 billion in the same period in 2024.

“Overall, first-semester revenues grew by approximately 5.49 percent from 2024 to 2026,” Inciong told lawmakers during the House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriations’ 2027 budget hearing for the agency.

According to the PCSO official, small-town lotteries generated the majority of the revenue from January to June 2026, totaling around P17.70 billion.

She added that an estimated P14.46 billion of this year’s revenue so far came from lotto games, while P525 million came from the national instant sweepstakes program.

Inciong also noted that comparing the 2024 and 2025 revenues from the three major games showed a 4.02 percent increase.

In 2024, the PCSO generated P62.35 billion, while in 2025, the agency had recorded P64.86 billion.

The PCSO official also said the revenue trend remains “positive and resilient” throughout the years, noting that small-town lotteries continue to be the main driver of these positive numbers.

The PCSO is targeting to generate a total revenue of P67.26 billion for the entire year of 2026, while P68.56 billion is projected for 2027. /jpv
