Zuchu Explains Why Diamond Platnumz’s Baby Mamas Remain Part Of Her Family
Tanzanian singer Zuchu has shared her perspective on her relationship with music star Diamond Platnumz, explaining why she supports him maintaining open, respectful connections with the mothers of his children.
Speaking during an interview on Sunday, October 25, 2026, the Bongo Flava artist emphasized that having children together creates an enduring family bond that cannot easily be severed or ignored.
“Two people who have reproduced, there is no way to erase them from each other’s lives,” Zuchu stated, referring to former partners such as Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan and Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.
Zuchu noted that her stance applies universally within long-term relationships, adding: “Even if we were to break up, even the woman who comes next in Diamond’s life has no way of erasing me from Diamond’s life, perhaps until I am dead.”
Building Trust and Accepting Co-Parenting Dynamics
Addressing how she handles instances where former partners visit their shared home or engage with Diamond, Zuchu highlighted the importance of trust, confidence, and mutual respect. She noted that her positive relationship with Tanasha Donna developed gradually through consistent transparency.
“This relationship you see me having with Tanasha today did not start today. There is trust that was built, going on and on until I believed that, oh, these people are done,” she explained.
Distinguishing Co-Parenting from Romantic Entanglements
Zuchu argued that peaceful, transparent communication between co-parents is often a strong sign that romantic feelings have been resolved, whereas constant friction can indicate lingering tension.
“When you see them able to move smoothly, without exhibiting those specific behaviours that cause you worry — meaning a phone can be answered while you are present… A child’s matters being handled while you are present, know that those are normal circumstances,” she added.
Diamond Platnumz shares two children with Zari Hassan and a son with Tanasha Donna. Zuchu’s remarks offer a rare glimpse into the family dynamics surrounding one of East Africa’s most prominent celebrity couples, reinforcing her belief in prioritizing child welfare over political or personal rivalries.
