Anthropic to open Singapore office in October, will be hiring for range of roles
Anthropic is set to open an office in Singapore in October, marking its fifth in the Asia-Pacific region, adding to the company’s offices in Tokyo, Bengaluru, Seoul, and Sydney.
In a release on Sept 16, it said the move was driven by strong enterprise demand for Claude, the company’s
series of advanced large language models and AI assistants
According to Anthropic’s most recent Economic Index, Singapore ranks second out of 121 countries in Claude.ai usage relative to population. Usage is 5.81 times higher than would be expected based on the size of its population.
Chris Ciauri, managing director of international at Anthropic, said that opening an office in Singapore is a “natural next step”.
“A presence here means we can hire the people who know this market best, and work side by side with local customers and partners building with Claude.”
Dale Finlay, the company’s general manager of ASEAN, will lead Anthropic’s office in Singapore. The company is set to hire for a range of roles in the country.
