DWTS Dancer Diego Pasillas Reacts After Falling Live on Air

'Dancing With the Stars' Dancer Diego Pasillas Reacts After On-Air Fall During Show
Nothing can break Diego Pasillas.
And even though the dancer took an accidental tumble as part of the ensemble during the Newsies portion of Dancing With the Stars’ Disney-themed opening number on Nov. 2, he still managed to seize the day with an epic recovery.
Nevertheless, a slightly embarrassed Pasillas took to social media following the episode to address the slip-up, writing in a video, “How Disney night went for me…”
“You guys,” Pasillas said with a snort. “I just ate it on national television.”
But wrongs will always be righted, and the professional dancer went on to demonstrate “what I was supposed to do,” flawlessly marking the correct moves for the “Seize the Day” dance.
“But instead, I said…,” Pasillas continued, imitating the way he fell during the live performance. Yet, as he noted, “The show must go on.”
Indeed, the show must and, thanks to Pasillas, the show did.
Soon, the dancer was inundated with praise for the flawless way he handled the tumble. After all, to the untrained eye, the way Pasillas kicked his leg from the ground and managed to get back into the routine in record time almost made the fall look like intentional choreography.
As pro Hailey Bills commented on his video, “BUT THE WAY YOU GOT UP,” while Val Chmerkovskiy added, “Bro you shablammed it and then shamblammed it in the air.”
Fans also praised the moment, with one writing, “AND YOU PLAYED IF OFF WELL I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE AT FIRST,” while another helpfully pointed out, “That was NOT a mistake. It was an ‘unexpected solo.’”

The support also made Pasillas feel like the King of New York—or should we say Los Angeles?
In fact, after a fan messaged him saying that they showed the clip to their teenage dancer as motivation, he wrote, “This means the world to me.”
But while Pasillas proved mistakes never bothered him anyway, he wasn’t the only one for whom the evening wasn’t entirely smooth sailing. And even on Disney night, the series had to let go one of its beloved pairings.
This week, it was Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa who took their final turn around the ballroom, their Hamilton-themed Paso Doble not enough to keep them in the competition.
For Stiles, however, there wasn’t even a single thing to hate about her time on the series.
“It's been an incredible experience. I pulled things out of myself that I didn't realize were there,” she said through tears following the elimination. “And Ezra is just an amazing person. I'm going to be sad not to see him every day.”
As for the other pairings still whistling while they work towards the Len Goodman mirror ball trophy, read on.

"I have a vision board and I redo it every year," she told E! News in May. "This year is the first year that I stayed at home by myself on New Year's Eve. I did not go out at all. I made myself a bowl of pasta and a glass of red wine and I redid my vision board for the year. Dancing With the Stars was already on it from the year before. However, I added five more Dancing With the Stars on the board."
