Stephen Curry made Olivia Miles and Kayla McBride's night special after scoring 44 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Golden State Warriors star met the Minnesota Lynx players at Target Center on Wednesday and gave them signed No. 30 jerseys. The two WNBA players were seen smiling and posing with their gifts, even showing off Curry's famous “night-night” celebration. The meeting also gave Curry a chance to talk about the WNBA's growth and praise the talent across the league. His gesture came after a strong performance in the Warriors' 119-114 win, where he made six three-pointers and all 16 of his free throws.

Curry said he follows the Lynx whenever he can and praised their season, even though it did not end the way they wanted.
“Yeah, I watch all their games whenever I can. The idea of, they had a hell of a year. I know they didn't end the way that they wanted it to, but the W as a whole is in such a great spot when it comes to talent across the league,” Curry told reporters after the game.
He also spoke about Minnesota's top finish in the regular season and the individual achievements of both players.
“Minnesota was a 1-seed that played well all year, and Olivia was an MVP candidate, which is crazy. Kayla breaking the three-point single-game record and all that. So, we were joking. She gave a Night-Night in Ballhalla, which was bittersweet for me as a fan. I was like, that was pretty dope, but it was against our team, so we had some jokes about that. But I appreciate the talent and what they're doing for the game, and being a fan of basketball all the way around. So, it was cool too, I didn't know they were coming. It was cool to be able to meet for the first time.”
McBride later shared a picture of the jersey on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “my goat.”
Kayla McBride's Night-Night Celebration Left Stephen Curry Impressed
The celebration Curry mentioned took place in August, when the Golden State Valkyries hosted the Lynx at Chase Center. McBride hit a key shot late in Minnesota's 77-66 win and followed it with Curry's signature “night-night” gesture.
After the game, McBride explained why she did it.
“Steph Curry is my favorite player. Obviously, in his house, I've been to Oracle; I've watched the Warriors over the years. It's a competitive moment, taking advantage of it. I thought it was a moment that really broke the game with two minutes left, and I think it put us up 11. Just embracing that moment, I also knew that I moved up and I passed Becky [Hammon], so it was just a hooper moment. I don't know; I can't explain it. Just kind of came out of me,” McBride said.
McBride also set a WNBA record with 10 three-pointers in a game against the Dallas Wings. Miles, meanwhile, was named the 2026 WNBA Rookie of the Year after helping Minnesota earn the top playoff seed.
