Ghosts favourites call for co-star to sign up for Taskmaster: "He doesn't even understand what it is"

Channel 4's Taskmaster sees comedians and other well known personalities tackle bizarre tasks devised by Alex Horne, the Taskmaster's assistant, in a bid to win Taskmaster Greg Davies's approval.
The latest season features the likes of Isy Suttie, Nina Conti, Matt Lucas and Richard Ayoade. But who might we see in future instalements of the show?
The cast of Ghosts, who have been busy promoting their upcoming spin-off film The Possession of Button House, would like to see one of their own take part.
"I'd like to see Simon Farnaby do Taskmaster," Lolly Adefope told Digital Spy.
"I think there'll be some lateral thinking going on. That would be very impressive. I think it'd be so effortless to him and it would be really good."
Mathew Baynton echoed his co-star's suggestion. He said that while Farnaby has never actually watched Taskmaster, that could make him a great contestant.
"He doesn't understand what it is, and I think that's an increasingly rare thing to have a contestant who really doesn't have a clue what's going on," he explained. "Simon, he just has got funny bones. He'd be so good on it."

Baynton added: "I just don't know if you could convince him to bother getting out of the house, it's quite hard to get Simon to get out of the house. I think he would be stunning on it, I think he'd be such good value."
Discussing his Taskmaster blind spot, Farnaby himself said that signing up "sounds great", but that he'd "need to know what it was about" first – although some of the Ghosts casts could easily fill him in.
Baynton and Adefope have already competed on Taskmaster, as have Charlotte Ritchie, Kiell Smith-Bynoe and Katy Wix.
The show is set to return for its 23rd outing, with recordings having taken place in September. But the cast has yet to be announced.
Farnaby, this is your time.
Ghosts: The Possession of Button House hits cinemas on Friday 23 October.
