Wardogs player numbers: Peak player count and copies sold

Translate

Tactical war FPS Wardogs has been a hit in its early access release, but how many people are playing it?

The game introduces a new way to play for milsim fans coming from games like Arma and Ready or Not, and that approach has resonated with many.

So, what's Wardogs' peak player count, and how many people are playing?

At the time of writing, Wardogs has a peak player count of 428,666.

That's the 36th highest ever all-time peak recorded on SteamDB, placing it alongside the likes of Helldivers 2 and Among Us, and above games like Resident Evil Requiem, Meccha Chameleon, Crimson Desert and Destiny 2.

At the time, it also made the game the fourth most-played game on Steam, just below the perennial chart toppers of Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and PUBG.

But beyond that peak, Wardogs has thus far managed to keep a steady player base, reaching at least 300,000 players every day since launch.

Additionally, the only time it has dropped below 100,000 concurrent players since launch was during a period of downtime during a game update – pretty good going if you ask us!

Naturally, we're probably going to see this eventually drop off a bit, as is the case with any and all new releases, but we're going to enjoy the moment while it lasts.

Wardogs sales numbers: How many copies has it sold?

As of 15 September, Wardogs has sold more than 2 million copies.

This was officially confirmed by the developers with a post to social media.

The game only launched into early access on 10 September, so selling 2m copies in less than a week is no mean feat.

And with plenty of updates still to come, it feels like the sky is the limit for Wardogs!
