Oscar Sudi Shares Light-Hearted Moment Walking With Ruto at Luxury Tanzania Hotel
Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has given Kenyans a glimpse into his time with President William Ruto in Mwanza, Tanzania, sharing a video of the two enjoying a relaxed stroll at a luxury beach hotel ahead of First Daughter Charlene Ruto’s wedding.
In the video posted on Facebook on Thursday, November 5, 2026, Sudi appeared in high spirits as he walked alongside the President, with the two seemingly taking a break from the wedding festivities to enjoy some downtime.
Sudi wore a casual white denim jacket, blue jeans and Adidas sneakers, while Ruto maintained his signature traditional appearance in a Kaunda suit and hat, carrying what appeared to be a ceremonial walking stick.
The two were seen smiling as they moved around the hotel, occasionally stopping to exchange pleasantries with people they encountered.
Their interaction appeared relaxed, with several guests taking the opportunity to pose for photographs with the President and the Kapseret MP. Both appeared comfortable with the attention as they continued their walk around the establishment.
The video offered a lighter glimpse into Ruto’s visit to Mwanza, where family members, Kenyan politicians and other invited guests had travelled for Charlene’s wedding to Tanzanian technology entrepreneur Isaya Yunge.
Inside Charlene Ruto’s Wedding Celebrations in Tanzania
Charlene’s wedding celebrations brought together prominent personalities from Kenya and Tanzania as the two families marked the couple’s union.
The occasion followed the traditional Kalenjin Koito ceremony held on August 8, 2026, at President Ruto’s Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris, Narok County.
The ceremony formally brought the two families together before preparations moved to the white wedding in the groom’s home country.
In the days leading up to the wedding, Charlene held a lavish bridal shower in Nairobi on Tuesday, November 3. The celebration featured a garden-themed setting decorated in white and purple.
First Lady Rachel Ruto later led family members and elders in a special prayer and blessing ceremony for her daughter on Wednesday, November 4, ahead of the family’s trip to Tanzania.
Charlene subsequently arrived in Mwanza to a colourful reception featuring traditional dancers and luxury vehicles. Videos from the occasion showed her joining the performers in dance.
Her wedding to Yunge, founder of the educational technology platform SomaApps, became a high-profile family occasion attended by influential guests from both countries.
