One dead as plane hits car
One person has been killed in western Canada after a small passenger plane struck a vehicle while making an emergency landing on a road, police said.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in Prince George, British Columbia, more than 700 kilometres (435 miles) north of Vancouver.
Images of the incident show the small aircraft on the side of a road, nestled on the grass next to a forested area.
“Police are saddened to confirm that there has been one fatality in this incident, an occupant of one of the vehicles,” the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said in a statement.
It was not immediately clear if anyone on the plane was injured.
