Man found dead in river in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro
CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found floating in a river along the spillway of Barangay Lumangbayan in Pinamalayan town on Friday morning.
In a statement, the Pinamalayan Municipal Police Station said a resident discovered what appeared to be a body floating in the river at around 7:20 a.m.
The resident immediately reported the discovery to the barangay chairperson, who went to the area with the resident. Personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office subsequently retrieved the body from the water.

The incident was reported to the Pinamalayan police at around 7:30 a.m., prompting officers to document the incident and conduct an initial investigation.
