Hollyoaks' Leah rushed to hospital as Lucas stand-off ends in disaster

Leah Barnes ends up hospitalised as the investigation into Ste Hay's disappearance leads to a fiery confrontation with Lucas Hay. Ste mysteriously vanished while visiting a shopping centre and has not been seen since.

His ex-husband James Nightingale is under suspicion of harming Ste, and he's currently worried after experiencing gaps in his memory around the time Ste went missing.

In scenes set to air tonight on Channel 4, and available to watch now on demand, James insists he is being framed, and Leah tells Lucas that she believes James is innocent.

Later, Imran Maalik, Leah's ex-fiancé, Misbah Maalik, his mother, and Gemma Johnson, Misbah's stepdaughter, visit Ste's family and offer their support.

Overwhelmed, Leah takes a breather outside, and despite betraying Imran and cheating on him before their wedding, he comforts her.

Meanwhile, Gemma and Lucas share a secret, and Leah later overhears Lucas admitting to being guilty. But what for?

Leah is shocked by what she's heard and tells Lucas to stay away from her, but in the frenzy of their confrontation, she falls down a flight of stairs.

Frankie Osborne rushes out of the shop and screams for help while Leah lies unconscious on the floor, but a horrified Lucas quickly flees the scene.

Lucas begs his friend from prison, Xander, to help get him out of the village. Meanwhile, Misbah and Gemma come to Leah's aid.

Following the accident, Imran is supported by Misbah and admits that he is still in love with Leah despite her infidelity with his friend, Prince McQueen.

When Leah wakes up in the hospital, she finds Imran sitting at her bedside. Could this lead to a reunion for the pair?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
