Rick Ross Booked on Domestic Violence Charges

Rick Ross was arrested in Miami this morning (October 1) on a felony charge of battery by strangulation, CBS reports. The rapper also faces a count of misdemeanour battery; both charges are linked to domestic violence, according to CBS. Ross’ arraignment is scheduled for October 22. Miami Beach police, who booked him at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, did not immediately return requests for further details or an arrest report. Pitchfork has also emailed Ross’ lawyer.

On Sunday, People reported that Ross’ ex-girlfriend Jazzma Kendrick had publicly accused him of physical abuse. Ross has issued no response to those allegations, and it is unclear whether they are linked to his arrest.
