Translate

The 260th convoy of humanitarian aid trucks, “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza,” set out Wednesday from the Rafah Border Checkpoint heading toward the Karem Abu Salem crossing in preparation for delivering the aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The convoy departed through the side gate of the Rafah Border Checkpoint after the trucks assembled early Wednesday in the outer yard of the border terminal.

The trucks are carrying food and humanitarian supplies for people affected by the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip.

A source from the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) said the convoy is carrying large quantities of food and relief supplies, including food parcels, flour, fresh bread, legumes, canned food, medicines, personal care items, tents, clothing and fuel.

The source added that approximately 58,000 aid trucks carrying more than one million tons of humanitarian and relief supplies have been sent to the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war.

The aid deliveries have also included ambulances and fuel trucks and have been supported by the efforts of some 75,000 ERC volunteers.
